UN: Civilian Government Should Rule Sudan
The United Nations human rights agency called on Sudanese military leaders Tuesday to investigate violence that has killed at least 30 protesters. The African country has been ruled by a Transitional Military Council since April, when the army ousted the country's longtime president, Omar al-Bashir.
