Zimbabwe Warriors in Tough AFCON Finals Group


The Zimbabwe Warriors have been placed in one of the toughest groups in the Africa Cup of Nations 2017 finals to be played in Gabon next January.

The Warriors were on Wednesday placed in Group B, which features Algeria, Tunisia and Senegal, in a draw conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

According to a CAF tweet, Group B matches will be played in Franceville.

Group A features Gabon, Burkina Faso, Cameron and Guinea Bissau and nations in Group C are Cote’Devoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Morocco and Togo. Ghana, Mali, Egypt and Uganda are in Group D.

The Africa Nations Cup is the continent’s flagship football tournament.
