Zimbabwe's Chicken Inn Football Club Gears Up For Premiership Maiden Match

Chicken Inn has acquired experienced players including former Zimbabwe Saints and Njube Sundowns players Trymore Mutisi and Skumbuzo Banda, former Warriors and Amazulu defender Herbert Dick, and former Monomotapa striker Daniel Zokoto

Management of Zimbabwe's Chicken Inn Football Club, joining the Premier Soccer League this season after promotion from Division One last year, says it has assembled a strong team for its debut match with Blue Ribbons at Luveve Stadium on March 26.

Blue Ribbon also graduated to the PSL from Division One this year.

Club Chairman Lifa Ncube said the team is ready for its match under the guidance of 2008 coach of the year Philani Ncube.

Chicken Inn has acquired experienced players including former Zimbabwe Saints and Njube Sundowns players Trymore Mutisi and Skumbuzo Banda, former Warriors and Amazulu defender Herbert Dick, and former Monomotapa striker Daniel Zokoto.

Chairman Ncube tells VOA Studio 7 reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye that morale is high within the team as Chicken Inn players prepare for PSL competition.

The team's name comes from its sponsor, a large Zimbabwean fast food purveyor.
