WASHINGTON —
The Zimbabwe Warriors qualified for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday after thrashing Malawi 3-0 at the National Sports Stadium.
With Guinea falling 1-0 to Swaziland, the Warriors have an assailable lead in Group L.
Facebook and website reports monitored from Washington indicate that the Warriors outclassed the Malawians with Knowledge Musona (penalty), Khama Billiat and Cuthbert Malajila scoring for the Kalisto Pasuwa-coached outfit.
This will be the third time for the Warriors to take part in the AFCON finals.
Swaziland’s performance has enhanced their chances of taking part in the finals in Gabon as best second-placed nation in Group L.
