Highlanders Football Club continued its losing streak Wednesday with a heavy defeat by Hwange.
The fading Bulawayo giants were beaten 3-1 at the Colliery Stadium, much to the chagrin of fans who have seen their club performing badly in the last seven matches.
They are still seventh on the log but threatened with relegation if the teams on the bottom half of the league table win their remaining games and Bosso lose their encounters.
On the other hand, bitter rivals Dynamos are still on top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League table with 53 points following a 5-3 win against Harare City.

Meanwhile, in other sports news; the football fraternity is mourning the death of Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa, who was shot Sunday night in South Africa.
Senzo was also the goalkeeper for Orlando Parites. He was at the height of his career during the time of his death. Born in Durban in 1987, Senzo joined Orlando Pirates at the age of 13 years in its development side before turning pro in 2005.
Former FC Capetown player, Eddie Guri, who is now based in Zimbabwe while awaiting another opportunity to play international football, says Senzo’s death leaves a gaping hole in the football field that will be very difficult to fill.
Senzo’s last match was Saturday when the Pirates advanced to the semi-finals of the South African League Cup.
