Zimbabweans Praise Pope Francis for Promoting Family Values

Pope Francis wrapped up his official visit to USA on Sunday.

Some Zimbabweans, who were in Philadelphia for the week-long World Meeting of Families and Papal visit, say they feel blessed and honoured to be part of the 30-member delegation that got a chance to be addressed by Pope Francis.

Theresa Foroma, one of the young women that was part of the delegation, told VOA Studio 7 she takes away the Pope’s message of forgiveness and the importance of family.

Foroma said some of the teachings she learnt at the meeting included the importance of celibacy, a message she hopes to share with others back home.

The Pope addressed the World Meeting of Families where he emphasized the importance of family values before conducting and leaving for Rome.
