Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition says it is planning to offer a reward of $2,000 to anyone with information on the whereabouts of public protest leader Itai Dzamara, who was allegedly abducted by unknown assailants a month ago.
Crisis programs manager, Nixon Nyikadzino says the offer is meant to encourage Zimbabweans to release information about Dzamara’s alleged abduction in Glen View suburb, Harare.
Nyikadzino says local people should not be afraid of being victimized as the informant will be protected accordingly.
Dzamara led a group known as Occupy Africa Unity Square, which was calling for the resignation of President Robert Mugabe.
Nyikadzino tells Studio 7 they will soon stage public protests and even approach the African Union and the Southern African Development Community, which are both headed by President Robert Mugabe, to put pressure on the government to look for Dzamara.
