The African Development Bank (AfDB) is currently holding its 50th annual meeting Cote d’Ivoire capital, Abijan, where seven candidates, including a Zimbabwean, have lined up to take the coveted post of president of the bank.

Zimbabwe’s Thomas Sakala, who retired from the bank last year where he held the post of vice president, was also in charge with the AfDB’s regional programs.
