Fifteen female students are among 21 students that demonstrated and were arrested in Harare this afternoon. The Zimbabwe Human Rights Association (ZimRights) has issued strongly-worded condemnation of the arrest and detention of the students.

Zanu PF spokesman Simon Khaya-Moyo says the party’s politburo is likely to tackle rising political tensions in the party next week as fissures grow ahead of the party’s December conference in Victoria Falls.

The Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions protests being left out of talks that may lead to the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority administering the country’s pensions, a job currently being done by the National Social Security Authority.
