Former Zimbabwe Warriors captain Peter Ndlovu leads a list of soccer greats who acquired coaching qualifications from the Confederation of African Football just as it appears that the the troubled Zimbabwe Football Association may be in need of a new coach.

With so many potential candidates to coach the Warriors should Zimbabwean immigration authorities persist in denying recently hired Belgian Tom Saintfiet a work permit, ZIFA has an embarrassment of choice when it comes to local contenders for the job.
This comes at time when ZIFA itself is mired in a management crisis after sacking its chief executive officer, Heneritta Rushwaya, for setting up a 2009 Warriors Asian without proper authorization, leading to allegations of match-fixing by players and team officials.
Soccer commentators Muzi Hadebe and Omega Sibanda agreed however that the Warriors need a foreign coach with plenty of international experience, not an unseasoned local.
But Hadebe acknowledged in a discussion with reporter Patience Rusere that the Confederation of African Football “C” license is a strong qualification.
