Botswana witnessed a smooth transition of power as President Ian Khama and his successor, former VP Mokgweetsi Masisi shook hands at the swearing in ceremony in Botwana's parliament. Masisi is expected to run in the October 2019 elections under the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).
