Most Zimbabwean men normally don’t wash dishes, cook and change children’s diapers as these have traditionally been regarded as women’s roles.
Men, who normally conduct such chores are associated with greediness and related issues including claims that they may have been bewitched by their wives.
The situation is different when they stay in developed nations like Britain, America, Australia, Canada and several others where men and women swap these roles in order to cater for the needs of their families.
Khumbulani Tshuma, a Zimbabwean living in Australia, and Nephat Siziba, who has been living in Canada for 15 years can conduct any domestic chores like their wives.
But as Siziba puts it, this is part of life in the diaspora.
