Axum Diserted in Ethiopia's War Devastated Trigray Region

In past years, pilgrims and tourists have flocked to Axum, a holy city in the Tigray region of Ethiopia. Today, many of its streets are quiet, and many businesses are closed due to more than seven months of war involving the national government and a regional political party.
