South Africa's President Jacob Zuma at the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa, January 30, 2015.

Deliberations at the African Union (AU) Summit continued Saturday with continental leaders tackling many issues such as Ebola, poverty, the militant group, Boko Haram, and others.

The AU last evening adopted its development blueprint - Agenda 2063. It focuses mainly on harnessing local resources for achieving meaningful economic growth on the continent.

What is also still in the minds of some delegates like independent journalist Peter Fabricius is the elevation of President Robert Mugabe to the chairmanship of the African Union.
