Zimbabwe Boxer Raises Privacy Concerns on HIV & Hepatitis Testing

Some Zimbabwean boxers are expressing concern about the privacy implications of new rules issued by the country's Boxing and Wrestling Control Board making tests for HIV and Hepatitis B obligatory to obtain the license needed to compete.

Woman boxer Monalisa Sibanda told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that she approves the regulatory board's ruling but cautions that the panel must not release the results of testing without the consent of boxers.
