Should Lobola Be Abolished?

Lawyer Priccilar Vengesai has filed a court arguing that payment of bride price or lobola is unconstitutional and reduces women to “mere assets." She says lobola should be abolished, or both parties ought to pay, in order to offer women some dignity.
