The purge of Zanu PF officials suspected of having links with sacked former Vice President Joice Mujuru is escalating, with Mashonaland Central province now seeking the recall of 15 parliamentarians.

Provincial chairman Dickson Mafios told state radio that the move is part of a restructuring exercise that will affect all branches of the party.

Zanu PF commissar Savior Kasukuwere recently said all suspensions and sackings should stop.

Several top officials viewed as sympathetic to Mrs. Mujuru have already lost their positions in the party, including former spokesman Rugare Gumbo and former administration secretary Didymus Mutasa.

VOA Studio 7 reached political analyst Nkululeko Sibanda who says the ongoing infighting does not bode well for Zanu PF.
