Zimbabwe’s Under 19 cricket squad defeated the Titans of South Africa by two wickets in their last match Thursday in Capetown.
In their third match of the SA Cubs week, a brilliant 40 by Nathan Waller led the Zimbabwe U19 side to its two-wicket victory.
Zimbabwe opening bowlers Callum Price and Tendai Chatara kept pressure on the Titans top order to take early wickets, capturing 3 wickets for fewer than 30 runs in combination with skillful fielding work.
Zimbabwe Cricket communications chief Shingai Ruhwaya told VOA Studio 7 reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye that the win gave the junior squad a major boost ahead of the U-19 World Cup in New Zealand.
