Zimbabwe and Algeria settled for a draw in a Group B AFCON encounter on Sunday.

Zimbabwe Warriors and Algeria drew 2-2 on Sunday in an Africa Cup of Nations Group B match played Sunday in Franceville, Gabon.

Algeria drew first blood in the 12th minute through marksman Riyad Mahrez before the Warriors' Kudakwashe Mahachi equalized in the 17th minute.

The Warriors's Nyasha Mushekwi slotted a penalty in the 29th minute and Algeria netted the equalizer eight minutes before the end of the tough encounter.

Mahrez found the net following Zimbabweans sloppy defence.

Most Zimbabweans on social media, including VOA Studio 7 Facebook page praised the Warriors for settling for a draw following serious challenges before the Gabon games.
