Just before the formation of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) Renewal Team last year, Elton Mangoma wrote a letter to MDC-T party leader, Morgan Tsvangirai, asking how Tsvangirai would put a closure to women in his life to ensure that they would not continue to erode his brand.
A few months later, the MDC-T was ravaged by factionalism leading to the formation of the MDC Renewal Team, which did not want to be associated with the former prime minister’s allegedly wayward love life.
Tsvangirai, whose wife, Susan, died in a car accident in 2009, found himself allegedly hooked to different women while attempting to find love.
Now, Mangoma is said to be in a fix as he reportedly got hooked up with a party member’s wife identified as Yemurai Maravanyika.
The man at the centre of Mangoma’s woes, Believe Tevera, told VOA Studio 7 he has evidence that Mangoma had not only committed adultery but he is paying rent for her.
Efforts to reach his estranged wife, Yemurai, were unsuccessful because her phone was switched off so was Mongama’s mobile phone. Police said they have not yet received a report on the issue.
MDC Renewal Team organizing secretary, Reggie Moyo, said they have set up a committee to investigate Mangoma and if found guilty he would face disciplinary action.
