Australian-based, Zimbabwean-born singer Tarisai Vushe has released a sizzling hit song Revive Us off her forth coming album, Redemption, set to be released next month. The song was produced in Augusta Georgia, in the United States of America.

In an exclusive interview with VOA Studio 7, Vushe says her song, Revive Us, talks about the trials and tribulations in her home country Zimbabwe in particular and the world in general.

“We have been having a lot of problems particularly our country Zimbabwe. We have been going through an economic crisis for a number of years and in the world there are many conflicts and potential conflicts. There is even a threat of a potential nuclear war between America and North Korea. Apart from these problems, there are also natural disaster affecting many countries.”

So how does Revive US help? Vushe responds: “I just felt it was a song that would uplift people.” She adds that the song has a message of love and is an appeal to God to rekindle the spirit of love, tolerance and forgiveness leading to world peace.
