WASHINGTON DC —
Highlanders Football Club have extended coach Kelvin Kaindu’s contract for another two years and dropped two assistant coaches Bekithemba Ndlovu and Tembo Chuma.
Club chairman Peter Dube said Kaindu has been an asset to the club, which settled for second position in the 2013 premier soccer league race won by Dynamos.
He said they have made several technical changes in other coaching departments.
Meanwhile, new comers ZPC Kariba have dropped coach Joisten Mathuthu for failing to make the grade in the premier league.
The club said they have opted for caps united assistant coach Saul Chaminuka as Mathathu is not allowed to coach in the premier league without an advanced certificate.
CAF regulations stipulate that a coach in the premier league should have level four, CAF B or better coaching qualifications.
