WASHINGTON DC —
Some communal farmers say they are not accessing state-sponsored agricultural inputs being distributed by the government.
Farmers in Mutare and Victoria Falls says only supporters of the ruling Zanu PF party are receiving the inputs.
Mpumelelo Gumbo of Victoria Falls says this should be rectified by the government as farming inputs are supposed to benefit all Zimbabweans.
Mutare farmer Mutungwarungwa Chitsidzo says the state should always ensure that people access inputs a few months before the start of the new crop season.
Government officials declined to comment only saying they are not aware of any irregularities in the distribution of agricultural inputs for the forthcoming season.
