WASHINGTON DC —
Curthbert Dube has been re-elected ZIFA president with a wide margin, beating three other contestants.
Dube got 44 votes, Trevor Carlesee Juul received 14, Lesli Gwindi (10) and Nigel Munyati failed to even attract a single vote.
The election went for a re-run after Dube could not get a two-thirds majority in the first round.
The 58 councillors also elected Omega Sibanda vice president. Sibanda, who was the chairman of the Zimbabwe Soccer Player Agents Association, beat his rival Elkanah Dube 30-28.
Tavengwa Hara, Benard Gwarada, John Phiri, and Fungai Chihuri were elected board members.
