Zimbabwe Cricket And Reebok Sign Million Dollar Agreement for Player Gear

Zimbabwe Cricket media-marketing chief Shingai Ruhwaya said the new gear will bring the national side up to international standards and tune up its brand

In another step toward returning to international test cricket, Zimbabwe Cricket has signed deal with Reebok under which the global sports label will provide uniforms and other kit worth a million dollars over three years.

Zimbabwe Cricket Media and Marketing Director Shingai Ruhwaya told VOA Studio 7 reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye the new gear will put the national side back in line with international standards and tune up its brand.

The Reebok deal augurs international re-acceptance of the Zimbabwean cricket team, which dropped out of international test play in 2006 due to deep internal divisions and criticism that the side was not up to global test standards.
