Premier Soccer League soccer coaches are set to benefit from a three-year partnership between Delta Beverages and Spanish football giant FC Barcelona and the top flight football controlling body.
According to Delta Beverages marketing manager Patricia Murambinda, Barcelona is to send its manager Gerardo Martino to Zimbabwe for a number of coaching clinics earmarked for PSL clubs in the agreement bringing together the PSL, Delta and local clubs.
Murambinda says there will also be extra rewards for soccer supporters in the country.
Zimbabwe, along with 10 other African countries, has signed a deal with FC Barcelona which will see Castle Lager becoming the official African beer for the four-time European champions.
Langton Nyakwenda, a Sports Reporter with the weekly Sunday Mail thinks this is a good deal for local coaches as well as local fans.
Meanwhile, Premier Soccer League Chief Executive Officer Kennedy Ndebele has revealed that they are considering moving the Banc ABC Sup8r tournament to Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane.
The two finalists, FC Platinum and Shabanie Mine are both from the same town of Zvishavane after knocking out Monomotapa and Dynamos respectively.
