The Movement for Democratic Change formation of Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai is mourning the death Saturday of three of its Chitungwiza district officials in an accident in which 13 other party members were injured, two seriously.
Party Chairman for Saint Mary’s Alex Magunda, Vice district Chairperson Loveless Sango and Saint Mary’s Ward 1 Secretary Innocent Muzuva died in a crash returning from Gokwe where the party had held an 11th anniversary celebration.
Sources said the accident was caused when a car tried to overtake vehicles in their convoy.
Party spokesman Nelson Chamisa told reporter Jonga Kandemiiri that a memorial service for the three will be held Tuesday in Chitungwiza.
