WASHINGTON —
Former chairman of the MDC led by Professor Welshman Ncube, Goodrich Chimbaira, who was suspended from the party this week, has rejoined the MDC-T.
Addressing a press conference at Harvest House where he was welcomed by party leader Morgan Tsvangirai on Thursday, Chimbaira accused Ncube of dictatorial tendencies.
The Ncube MDC suspended Chimbaira on charges of violating the party constitution as well as recruiting members for the MDC-T.
Chimbaira told Studio 7 he decided to join the MDC after meeting with Mr. Tsvangirai two weeks ago, adding his suspension was a preemptive strike.
MDC deputy president Edwin Mushoriwa applauded his party’s disciplinary committee for getting rid of Chimbaira.
