WASHINGTON DC —
Former National University of Science and Technology vice chancellor Professor Lindela Rowland Ndlovu died in Bulawayo Wednesday morning.
Although details are still coming in, Professor Ndlovu is reported to have collapsed while he was on his way to a private hospital in the city, where he later died.
Professor Ndlovu became the second NUST vice chancellor after he was appointed in 2005 to replace the institution's founding vice chancellor Professor Phineas Makhurane.
Professor Ndlovu's 10-year tenure ended following the appointment of Professor Samson Sibanda last week.
No details have been given by the university senate and government for his removal from the post.
