Mangoma says the violence that broke out in his party’s offices Tuesday was orchestrated by the party’s leadership against him.

Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) Renewal Team treasurer-general, Elton Mangoma, says he is troubled by violence that broke out in his party’s offices Tuesday, which he says was orchestrated by the party’s leadership against him, following allegations that he is having an extra marital affair with the wife of party member, Believe Tevera.

Speaking at a press conference in Harare Wednesday, Mangoma, who was accompanied by his wife, and had his head bandaged, denied allegations of adultery levelled against him.

MDC Renewal Team’s organizing secretary Reggie Moyo told VOA Studio 7 a three-member committee, comprising the party’s youth chairman Solomon Madzore, spokesman Jacob Mapfume, and vice national chairperson Lucia Matibenga, has started investigating this issue.

Moyo said Mangoma’s allegations of intra-party violence are not true.
