WASHINGTON DC —
MDC Renewal Team interim leader Sekai Holland, who resigned her position at the weekend, has denied reports she quit over infighting between party secretary general Tendai Biti and treasurer Elton Mangoma.
Mrs. Holland says she resigned because her acting mandate had expired. She also relinquished her membership of the Renewal Team.
The former National Healing co-Minister in the power-sharing government says she is now focusing entirely on a peace program initiated by the ministry at the Midlands State University in 2009.
With the help of some Australians, the Peace studies began enrolling students last year in August and took a second enrolment in February this year, Mrs. Holland explained.
