Highlanders are now on top of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League log table with 51 points following a controversial win at Barbourfiles Stadium where the Bulawayo boys beat 9-men Triangle 1-0.

In a tense match watched by an enthusiastic crowd, two Triangle players were red-carded together with coach Geshom Ntini.

The match ended in the 106th minute and Ntini is not a happy man as he is accusing the referee of frustrating his team in Wednesday’s match which saw Highlanders scoring in extra time against the depleted Chiredzi team.

Bitter rivals, Dynamos, now trial with 50 points tied with Harare City with just two matches left before the end of the season. Dembare drew 1-1 with Shabanie Mine at Rufaro Stadium.

In other matches played Wednesday, Harare City drew 0-0 with Motor Action, Caps United lost 2-3 to Black Rhinos, Chicken Inn beat Tripple B 4-1, FC Platinum dismissed Black Mambas 3-1 and Hwange beat Buffaloes 2-0.

Dynamos supporter Fabian Mahembe said he was disappointed by his team’s performance against Shabanie Mine.
