Highlanders beat Dynamos 2-1 at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday in the semi-finals of the TelOne Easycall Cup.

According to reports monitored on semi-official Highlanders websites and the public Dembare Dot Coms Facebook page, the Bulawayo giants, who have struggled over the last eight years to beat the mighty Harare side, lived up to expectations scoring two goals in the first half of the game watched by a capacity crowd.

Obadiah Tarumbwa and Soccer Star of the Year finalist Knox Mutizwa scored the two goals and Dynamos' Mutuma hit one back for his team though it seemed to be too late to equalize as the Bosso juggarnut went a gear up after the first half to contain the mauraiding Dembare strikers.

Mutumwa was sent off a few minutes before the end of the game for retaliation.

Highlanders are not set to clash with Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League champions, Chicken Inn, in the cup finals.

Winners will walk away with $80,000.
