Zimbabwe fails to announce new indigenization regulations that were expected to relax laws compelling foreign-owned companies to transfer equity stakes of up to 51 percent to local people.

Former Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai speaks about the Zimbabwe economy and failure by the government to pay civil servants before Christmas Day.

And President Robert Mugabe throws an annual Christmas party for his staff and senior state officials, raising a stink among Zimbabweans who have criticized him for doing this at a time when civil servants have not yet received their salaries and most people are facing serious economic hardships.
