Unpaid civil servants in Zimbabwe say they are not sure if they will receive delayed December salaries as promised by the government with only a day left for some of them to receive their pay.

Zimbabwean doctors threaten to go on strike if they are not paid by Friday.

Some Zimbabweans have criticized President Robert Mugabe for going on holiday in Asia at a time when most people are struggling to make ends meet.

The Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority says it is planning to increase power charges due to high costs of producing electricity.

And the Harare City Council warns residents to watch out for some effluent likely to cause contagious diseases.
