Civic organizations and colleagues Dzamara, held a prayer meeting in Harare Thursday evening, after marching earlier in the city
Civic organizations and colleagues of activist and freelance journalist Itai Dzamara, who was abducted Monday last week by alleged state agents are holding a prayer meeting in Harare on Thursday evening.
They are expected to march in the city to highlight Dzamara’s plight before attending the prayer meeting.
The family and colleagues of Dzamara, a leader of a movement called Occupy Africa Unity Square, which has openly called for President Robert Mugabe to step down, say his whereabouts are still unkown.
Although the government has denied any knowledge of Dzamara’s whereabouts, organizing secretary Abednico Bhebhe of the Movement for Democratic Change led by Morgan Tsvangirai said his party believes only the state can locate the political activist.
