Caps United have been urged to guard against complacency as they trot onto the field of play on Friday for their 2017 CAF Champions League Group B match against Libyan champions Al Ahly Tripoli at the National Sports Stadium.

United, affectionately known as Makepekepe, are bubbling with confidence following their recent surprise 2-1 win over USM Alger of Algeria.

Football analysts say this is a new game altogether and United have to guard against complacency.

One of the analysts, Farai Kambamura, says Al Ahly Tripoli are taking the game seriously as they arrived in the country four days before the match.

“These guys know that they will be out of the tournament if they lose against Caps United. They have come here for three points and Caps should be wary of that,” said Kambamura.

Other soccer analysts expressed the same sentiments, noting that Makepekepe are expected to beat their opponents if they are not complacent.

United supporter, Fafadzwa Mufundisi, said the fact that Al Ahly Tripoli held the mighty Zamalek to a one-all draw shows that they are not an easy team to beat.

Al Ahly Tripoli officials were not available for comment.
