Highlanders completed a double over Dynamos when they beat the Harare giants 2-1 in the last minutes of a game watched by thousands of people at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo.
According to some social media reports monitored by Studio 7 from Washington, Highlanders sprung from their slumber in the last three minutes of the game and beat Dembare hands down through a header from Tendai Ndlovu before Ralp “Banolila” Matema slotted another one home from close range.
The wild celebrations from the Bosso fans injected a sense of urgency in the Bulawayo giants’ well-oiled machine, which responded by shutting out Dembare fans with only a few minutes to go.
Dynamos had scored the first goal in the 28th minute. With the win, Highlanders completed a double over Dembare this season, getting six points from two encounters. The last time Bosso beat Dynamos twice in a Premier Soccer League season was in 2006.
FC Platinum still leads the league table with 47 points, closely followed by Caps United with 46 and Highlanders (41).
Mutare City Rovers, Tsholotsho and Border Strikers anchor the 16-team PSL league log.
