Zimbabwe's Warriors national soccer team will play in the finals of the 2009 Cosafa Senior Challenge Cup after defeating South Africa 3-2 on penalties Wednesday at Rufaro Stadium in Harare having drawn 1-1 when the clock ran out.
The Warriors will play the winner of the other semi-final match between Mozambique and Zambia to take place Thursday in Bulawayo.
The final will be played Sunday in Harare.
Sports commentator Michael Kariati told VOA Studio 7 reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye that a home crowd thronging Rufaro Stadium in the capital was rewarded with the victory and rising hopes for a regional trophy in the final on Sunday.
