Zimbabwe's Monomotapa Football Club failed to make it to the finals of the Confederation Of African Football's Champions League, but nonetheless managed to stage a 2-1 upset of Dynamos in their Premier Soccer League match Wednesday at Rufaro Stadium, Harare.
Monomotapa goal-keeper Godfrey Mungove told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that Dynamos was complacent against its adversary and Monomotapa was able to take advantage of that to overturn the favorite.
Monomotapa was knocked out of contention in the CAF Champions League by Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia last Saturday in a return match in Tunis by a score of 2-0.
