Zimbabwe's longrunning cholera epidemic continues to subside with the World Health Organization reporting 42 new cases and nine deaths in its latest update compared with 314 new cases and 10 deaths in the previous report.
Since the epidemic began, there have been a total of 96,663 cases which have resulted in 4,210 deaths, according to the WHO.
Despite this slowing in the pace of the epidemic, health experts urge the public not to let down its guard, among them Dr. Douglas Gwatidzo, chairman of the Zimbabwe Association Of Doctors for Human Rights, who says Zimbabweans must remain vigilant.
