Zimbabwe's Dynamos & Gunners Battle Wednesday For Needed Points

Zimbabwe's Dynamos and Gunners football teams both have a lot at stake in the match they are scheduled to play on Wednesday - Dynamos needs the win to help catch up with league-leader Monomotapa, Gunners needs points to stave off relegation.

Whence the declaration by Gunners Football Club Coach Moses Chunga, a former Dynamos player, that his squad won't hand any gifts to Dynamos in the confrontation.

Monomotapa leads the Premier League at 54 points with four matches to go, trailed by Dynamos with 47 points and six matches to play. Dynamos has a backlog of games due to its run at the CAF Champions League Cup, in which it was knocked out in semi-finals.

Gunners are in 11th place in the 16-member Premier League grouping.

Sports commentator Michael Kariati told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuyue of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that both teams teams will be seeking to maximize points.
