Zimbabwe's New Brazilian Coach Takes Measure Of Warriors Squad

Domestically based members of Zimbabwe's Warriors national football team ended a four-day training camp this week which enabled the team's new Brazilian coach, Jose Claudinei Georgini, or Valinhos as he is better known, to get to know them ahead of a friendly match next month with an opponent yet to be named.

Warriors defender Thomas Svesve told reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye that he has been impressed with Valinhos, but is focused right now on the Nestle Charity Shield finals on Sunday between his team, Dynamos, and Highlanders.

The match is to be played at Gwanzura Stadium in Harare as Rufaro Stadium remains closed for renovations which had been scheduled for completion in time for the game.
