All players and referees in Zimbabwe's Premier Soccer League and Division One will be obliged to undergo medical tests before the start of the 2008 soccer season under a new ruling by the International Federation of Association Football, or FIFA.
The Gunners Football Club team physician, Dr. Munhamo Chipandu, also a member of the Zimbabwe Football Association's sports medicine committee, told Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that the exams are a step in the right direction as it will help players focus more closely on their health.
