Zimbabwe's Mighty Warriors Confront South Africa's Banyana Banyana

Zimbabwe’s Mighty Warriors women's soccer team takes on Banyana Banyana of South Africa on Saturday in Harare in a qualifier for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Banyana Banyana takes the field with a 2-1 lead from the first leg played in Pretoria two weeks ago. But the Mighty Warriors were intent on staging an upset.

Zimbabwe Football Administration Chief Executive Officer Henrietta Rushwaya said the women's squad is Zimbabwe’s best hope of an international tourney slot after the male Warriors were ousted from the 2008 Africa Nations Cup recently by Morocco.

ZIFA Women’s Soccer Administrator Theresa Maguraushe tells reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe that she is happy with the team’s preparations and that the Mighty Warriors are not intimidated by the opposition.
