Zimbabwe's Mwana Africa Heads For Clash With DRC's TP Mazembe


Zimbabwe's Mwana Africa football team left Thursday for the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the club was to battle Tout Puissant Mazembe for entry to the quarter finals of the CAF Confederation Cup. The game is to be played on Sunday at the Stade Municipal in Lubumbashi, the DRC's second largest city.

Zimbabwe Football Association Chief Executive Officer Henrietta Rushwaya voiced confidence that Mwana Africa would perform well in Lubumbashi.

Football analyst are upbeat too: Mwana Africa holds Zimbabwe's hopes now that the Highlanders club has been knocked out of Champions League play and the Warriors have been ousted from the Cosafa Castle Cup by Mozambique.

Football commentator Wellington Dangarembizi shared his views with reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe.
