Zimbabwe Warriors Now A Long Shot In Africa Nations Cup Tourney

The Zimbabwe Warriors have their work cut out for them to qualify for the 2008 Africa Cup Of Nations after drawing 1-1 against Morocco's Atlas Lions on the weekend.

The Zimbabwean national soccer team needed an outright win in the home match at Harare's Rufaro Stadium home after losing to Malawi last year. Zimbabwe is now at the bottom of Group 12 and Morocco tops the standings with four points.

The Warriors play Morocco in a return match in June, but critics say the Warriors will need a miracle to defeat the Lions in front of their home crowd.

The Young Warriors, meanwhile, were ruled out of participation in the 2008 Olympics by their loss to Cameroon in Yaounde on Sunday.

Reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye asked Zimbabwe Supporters Vice President Eddie Mboma Nyatanga for his thoughts on the draw eked out against Morocco.
