Zimbabwe's Mwana Africa striker Benjamin Marere says he is frustrated by an ankle injury that could keep him out of the return leg of the Confederation Of African Football CAF Confederation Cup qualifier against Angola’s Interclube in two weeks.
Mwana Africa beat Interclube 2-0 in the first leg at Rufaro Stadium in Harare on the weekend. Marere was one of the goal scorer that was instrumental in leading his club to a win that many football critics believe leave Mwana Africa favourites to advance to the next stage.
Marere however, says his team should not take that game lightly even though their win put them in a better position when their play Interclube infront of its home crowd.
Marere says, the rest of the team is now training for the second leg, but he is still out of action.
Reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio Seven spoke with Marere who says he is resting to speed up his recovery so he can make the second leg.
