Zimbabwe National Soccer Team Member Adapts To Polish Club

Zimbabwe Warriors defender Herbert Dick, who plays for League Warsaw in Poland, says the transition to his new team since September has been challenging.

Contrary to public perceptions, joining an international team is not all roses, Dick said in an interview. But he quickly added that the exposure he is getting from his new team and the significantly increased pay have made it all worthwhile.

Dick played for Amazulu of Bulawayo before joining Monomotapa of Harare in early 2006. He was part of the team that participated in the 2006 Africa Cup Of Nations in Egypt after receiving a surprise call to replace an injured player.

Reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe asked Dick about his return to Zimbabwe after joining the Polish team only three months ago.
