Mwana Africa Of Zimbabwe Wins Right To Contest CAF Confederation

Soccer fans in Bindura, Zimbabwe, are rejoicing after Sunday's 1-0 victory by Mwana Africa of Trojan Mine over Chapungu United of Gweru, locking up the Commercial Bank of Zimbabwe Cup and Z$30 million (US$120,000) prize money.

Mwana pulled off the upset with a header by Benjamin Marere in the 81st minute, sending Chapungu’s Airmen packing. Mwana Africa left with the trophy and the prize money - and the right to represent Zimbabwe at the CAF cup next year as winner of this season's main knockout competition. Team officials said they will come to a decision early this week on seeking the CAF Confederation Cup.

Reporter Marvellous Mhlanga-Nyahuye of VOA's Studio 7 for Zimbabwe asked assistant captain Thomas Sese of Mwana Africa how the team is feeling.
